KYIV. Capital City Gets Decorated By City-lights and Billboards to Arrival of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill

On July 28, 2010 in Ukraine the feast of the Baptism of Kyivan Rus will be celebrated at the national level.  

Together with the representatives of the UOC the Kyiv City State Administration is getting prepared to celebration of the Day of Baptism of Kyivan Rus. 

Taking part in the solemn arrangements will be His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, who will arrive to Kyiv from Dnipropetrovsk on July 26.  On the occasion of festivities the festive city-lights and billboards.  

Note that at the plenary session of the 5th assembly of the Kyiv council of the 6th convocation, on July 15, 2010 the decree of the Kyiv state administration was signed "On arrangements for celebration of the Baptism of Kyivan Rus in Kyiv”, the working group was set up and the draft preparation plan approved.   

Besides, with support of the International Public Organization “Day of Baptism of Rus” and the chief administration of Culture and Arts, a festive concert will be held at Spivoche Pole with participation of the leading spiritual choir groups and popular musical groups from Ukraine and Russia.
